This new Platform allows up to 4 instruments to be controlled
from the same 32 Karat workstation and can include any combination
of System Gold and P/ACE MDQ instruments. Data collection from
non-Beckman Coulter HPLC or CE systems can be achieved through
an analog interface using the SS420X device available at
Beckman Coulter.

Diode array tools have also been enhanced in this version,
reflecting input from scientists like yourself - our users of
32 Karat software. These enhancements included:
- Synchronization of the mixed view plots to highlight spectra
from either the electropherogram or contour plots.
- All zoom functions can now be synchronized to facilitate more
ease in data interpretation.
- Cursor identification of X.Y values with a simple mouse click
- Spectral similarity tables to assist with spectra comparisons
- Peak similarity and threshold plots to assist with peak purity
analysis
- The ability to subtract and save subtracted spectra
- Spectral library search enhancements
32 Karat Software version 5.0 also contains many performance enhancing modifications which can be generically combined under the catch phrase term of software "bug
fixes." These are performance enhancements which have been identified through our customer feedback process - once again, that is feedback from users like yourself.
Upgrading to Version 5.0
32 Karat software, Version 5.0 upgrade is now available to all current 32 Karat software users.
There are three ways to obtain this software:
1) 32 Karat Version 5.0 Upgrade - CD-ROM and Manuals Kit
An
upgrade kit may be purchased from Beckman Coulter using PN 715068.
Service installation and training is available upon request. Please
contact
your local Beckman Coulter Service representative for a quotation.
2) 32 Karat Version 5.0 - Next Call Upgrade
Depending upon your
current Beckman Coulter service agreement you may be eligible for a
complimentary upgrade during your next scheduled service call. Please
contact
your local Beckman Coulter Service representative to inquire.
3) Internet Download - No Charge
The 32 Karat Version 5.0
upgrade may be downloaded from the Beckman Coulter website at
no charge. This upgrade path is only available to licensed 32
Karat users and is intended to be self installed*. This is not
a patch or an update, but rather a full software upgrade - so
a high speed Internet connection is highly recommended. Please
be prepared to include your firmware version and instrument
serial number in order to complete the download process.
