Antigen-specific CD8+ T cells are enumerated directly from patient samples without the need for cell stimulation.
- The only method to detect antigen-specific CD8+ T cells ex vivo.
- Immune responses are targeted to the specific allele(s).
- Time from sample isolation to readout is within hours, not days.
- Quantitate Tetramer positive CD8+ T cells for further functional characterization.
Non-specific binding is inherent in immunologic assays. To greatly reduce non-specific binding, Class I iTAg MHC Tetramers specific to human alleles have a proprietary umtation in the alpha-3 domain (see histograms).

Alpha-3 Domain Binding Modification: these histograms demonstrate the "clean binding" of the iTAg MHC Tetramers due to the Class I iTAg MHC alpha-3 domain mutation. Figure 1a is without the mutation and Figure 1b is with the mutation.
