The ProteomeLab PA 800 utilizes Beckman Coulter's strength in automation and capillary electrophoresis technology (protein electrophoresis) to determine a protein's molecular weight, resolve differences in isoelectric point, generate high-resolution peptide maps and carbohydrate profiles, and provide front-end separation and introduction of these proteins to mass spectrometry. This same tool can also be used to assess and characterize protein-protein, protein-nucleic acid and protein-drug interactions--all in solution, in an environment fully defined by the user.
